I’ve heard it said that the sense of smell is our most powerful recollective sense.
For example, when I found a sachet of pot pourri in an old jewellery box, a flood of memories came back to me from when I was 7 and living on the farm. Vivid memories of my bedroom I shared with my sister, our bunk beds and the damn out the window. The toys we used to play with and the sound of the highway as we fell asleep… All from a sachet of pot pourri.
In the same way, I love to use scents as part of my home, whether by baking bread, my favourite laundry powder, candles, essential oils and many other ways. These scented sachets are some of my favourite smells and they are AMAZING!!!
