Wow it’s been hot! Am I right???
Perfect beach or pool weather…
But, as it turns out, we have found ourselves somewhere else these past few days…
JAMBAROO!!! – Where We Control The Action!
It is a water theme park, very much like Wet’N’Wild, located half an hour south of us, in amongst beautiful, green, rolling hills! I love that it is out of the way, an oasis of touristy fun in the country! There are farms surrounding it and even sheep grazing around the bobsled tracks!!!
Everyone knows about it, and yet I feel like it’s some kind of a local secret, a local treasure if you will…
We have now gone three days in a row and will probably go tomorrow too! The twins ask everyday if we are going to Jawaroo! Plus we have to get the value out of those tickets! (Which only takes two visits by the way)
We didn’t get to take many photos before the camera died….but here are a few from the Rapid River, Banjo’s Billabong and one of Billabong Beach!
The Rapid River is a smooth ride on inflatable doughnuts, or you can swim if you choose. It is fairly shallow and the kids just liked drifting along on their floaties.
They go past water jets…
Through a tunnel of green trees…
And through caves, bubbles, waterfalls and more!
Here is Billabong Beach, a place for the young kids to play and the parents to chill out a bit more…
Ahhh….
It is all fenced in and very shallow, and adults aren’t even allowed on the second story of the shack! Just for kids!
Banjo’s Billabong, however, is another story!
It’s only for 1m tall and up and is a full on grown up playground!!!
We didn’t go on except for this slide as the kids were a little scared…
And don’t laugh, they had good reason to be!
Every few minutes 1200L of water gets dumped out of the kangaroo bucket on top! Aaaaarghhhh!!!!
Literally every few minutes! It was sooooo awesome!!!!
So as you can see it’s a winner for kids and grown ups alike. And I haven’t even on the adult rides yet!!! (Only the ones I can double with the kids!!!)
So get your tickets and meet me there!!!
Oh and by the way, I think there will be a few more posts about Jambaroo coming up!!!
