A few weeks ago our little family found ourselves back up in Queensland, but this time on the Sunshine Coast, and it was HOT!!! ?

Perfect for the lazy, beach bum holiday we were looking for, where the water was warm enough for the kids to play in all day, and there was nothing that needed doing! ?

Here we are at Lake Curramundi (or lake undies as the kids called it). It had calm water, perfect for the twins!

We collected shells as we walked up to the mouth opening, then floated back with the current…Aaahhh! ?

Here we are the next day at Golden Beach….again it was smooth as it is protected by Bribie Island. Apparently the northern part Bribie Island is disappearing and is only a few meters wide in some places! ? So Golden Beach may have waves in the future…

A lovely catch up with a uni BFF! Sometimes I can’t believe we have kids already?!

And now for my favourite beach of the trip! Kings Beach! Isn’t it perfect?!

As it is a north facing beach, it was more sheltered during the easterly winds, which meant, while we were there, there was only one wave at a time. Once we were past the break, the kids could float in their floaties to their hearts content, and we could relax within arms reach. Like I said, it was seriously perfect!!!

I also loved that it had cement going down to the rocks, so you could very easily get out of the ocean and walk all the way to your car without getting any sand on you!!!

I know that isn’t a big deal for many of you, but trust me, once you have kids, everything is a big deal…especially excess sand on crazy toddlers… ??‍♀️

Now for some food: Kings Beach Tavern

As I’m off sugar at the moment, I haven’t been strict about carbs…as you can tell from the following photos. You know, choose your battles….But seriously, these were the best steak sandwiches I have ever eaten!!! Best chips, best everything! Oh and it was practically a half price special Monday to Friday…

And while we’re on food, I might as well recommend absolutely anything from B Fresh on the corner of Nicklin Way and Minkara St. It’s a healthy cafe/green grocer/deli/awesome place! If you live in the area, it’s worth checking out!

Next up, Noosa!

I was pretty slack with my photos, but here are some out of the car window as we drove up to the headland…

The colour of the water is breathtaking, and the temperature…to die for!

One more, because it’s gorgeous!

We parked the car, then hiked/walked to some more secluded beaches and rock pools…it was amazingly beautiful!

I would love to go back, just Pete and I to explore…or even go for a run around the headland in the morning and have a refreshing swim at the end to cool down…

And here is a dress I bought from a cute little boutique in Noosa…

We had some family photos on the Sunday night, as it was the first time in months/a year? that the whole family has been together…

Oh and as you can tell the sunset was beyond amazing!!! I’ll put more photos up in a seperate post once I get them!

Now to 4 Wheel driving at Rainbow Beach!!! The land of the coloured sands….

The different variations in colour are spectacular! So so so so soooo many different colours!!! (You can’t really see them here though?)

Sadly it was getting dark by the time we got there ?…

It was still worth it though…we just have to go back again!!!

Here’s my hunk of handsome!!! Love this guy!!!

And as a side note, I love the patterns on a 4WD beach! So perfect and different!

One of the cutest things we did on the whole trip was when we dug up pippies, only to watch them burrow into the sand gain! The kids were mesmerised! We could have done it all day!!! If I find the videos from that, (Pete’s phone maybe…) I’ll put them up tomorrow!

Oh and the kids started riding bikes on this trip too! They are getting big so quick now!!!

Thanks for reading!

xxx Imogen
