Never wear a wrap dress to a piano exam!
I tell you this because I once did! Worst mistake ever!!! And it wasn’t to any exam – it was to my L.Mus.A (Licentiate of Music Australia) for Classical Piano! (I really need a few emojis for this story! Pretend there are horrified ones at the end of each sentence!)
As I used both feet for peddling my dress began to unwrap! Oh the horror! Three examiners! I looked up to them so much and even the hall I was playing in was named after one them! Aaaaargh!
So I simply paused, rewrapped my dress and continued. Then checked the rewrapping between each movement and piece! As you can imagine, my brain was frazzled!
One that note (haha), I bring you this beautiful, black floral number.
Often my favourite and most used items of clothing are the ones that don’t need ironing, just like this one! Because of this, it is a definite go to dress when travelling or for a morning short on time!
I love the frills, flowing sleeves and oriental flavour. In this shoot I paired it with black scrappy shoes, curls and red lips and nails, but I have also paired it with rose gold shoes and accessories and straight hair for a wedding a few weeks ago.
And did I mention how comfortable it is! Very comfortable! Just don’t wear it to a piano exam!
Oh and by the way….I still passed! Phew!!!
