Hi everyone!
So, over the weekend I had the craziest experience, and I think it’s only fair that it should be added to the ‘Ditzy Diaries’…
It was 10pm Saturday night, and the twins and I had just begun our hour long drive home. We were waiting at a stop light, when a loud motor bike pulled up super close next to us! Like, so close that I tackfully used my elbow to lock the car…
The motorbike rider then started to wave at me, which made me glad I had locked the door, but I continued to look ahead at the red arrow, willing it to turn green. After all, I didn’t want to encourage the weirdo. The rider then started pawing at the window and motioning for me to wind it down, but no way was I going to do that! I shook my head and laughed. I hoped he wasn’t drunk.
Next he started waving and pointing at the kids…eeek! Then finally the arrow turned green! Ahhh…and we were away! I was so glad to get away from the strange man, and was hoping he wouldn’t follow us. I began scanning my memory for police stations to pull into, if he did follow us home…
Half an hour later, poor Tori vomited EVERYWHERE! So there I was, 10:30 at night, on the side of the highway, with two overtired toddlers, cleaning spew of her cold little body with wet wipes! I called Peter in desparation, to see how far away he was…(he was supposed to be finishing up at 10pm, an hour away from where we were)
He then asked why I didn’t open the window for him!
He was freezing on the motorbike and wanted to park it, get a lift home with the kids and I in the warm car, and pick up the bike in the morning.
Oh boy did I feel stupid! And annoyed that the normal vomit cleaner of the home wasn’t with me…although he had desparately tried to be lol.
He thought I was just joking with him, and that I would turn around and come back to get him. Poor guy. Luckily he got a lift with his brother! And the kids fell asleep on the way home…phew!
You live and you learn right!
Today’s Look
This red dress was a must have for me! I love the colour, the sleeves, the assymetrical skirt and everything about it!
I would wear this dress out on a classy date night or to a classical concert. I feel like it looks a bit Spanish, so that is super fun. It’s moments like these that I wish I had long dark hair! I would also wear it to Christmas functions as it is that Christmas red! It makes a real statement!
