Here are some late night thoughts on my little angels…
They are starting to talk. A lot. All the time. And it’s pretty adorable! They are stringing words and sentences together. It’s quite funny: when I ask one a question or correct them, the other will chime in as a little parrot, repeating the same direction complete with intonation. It’s hilarious! (‘Wawee! Don pu i on floooor’…ie ‘Wally, don’t put it on the floor.’ With her voice going up and down dramatically!!!)
They have very strong ideas and points of view. Often if I ask what song, story, or movie they would like, and especially if I give them two choices, they always choose different ones to each other. Every time!
Wally is such a boy and Tori, such a girl. And it has been so clear since day dot! They have very naturally sounded (voice pitch), looked (body shapes) and acted very masculine and feminine respectively. As they are twins, it has been incredible to watch, and has been very pronounced!
They are seriously mini me’s for Pete and I. Sometimes even cringe-worthily so, especially when I can see myself so clearly in Tori! But most of the time it makes me smile or my heart burst with pride.
And lastly, they are totally best friends. I feel so lucky to be their mummy and to be able to watch them grow up.
Love you Miss and Bud xx
